Valentine's Day Makeup Ideas - 5 Looks to have you LOVESTRUCK!

To be completely honest I’ve never embraced Valentine’s Day… well except for the chocolates and corny rom-coms. But aside from that I’ve never done the whole V-day glam, which having now spent some time scrolling Pinterest, I am FURIOUS about! 

Valentine’s Day glam is a whole damn MOOD! From berry stain cheek tints, to pink graphic hearts AND saucy statement red lips! For the makeup and fit opportunities alone I highly recommend jumping on the Valentine’s Day LOVE train and trying out our top 5 V-day looks.

LOOK 1 – THE HOPELESS ROMANTIC

For the lovers who relish in the romance, Valentine’s Day is kind of a big one. You’re probably expecting the red roses wrapped in a bow, candle lit dinner, pink champagne and a scrumptious box of Ferrero Rochers… but who is being specific. An evening like this calls for a little sexy rouge! 

Apply your favourite 2-IN-1 red shade to the lips cheeks and eyes, choose between our shades Rumi, Wewak or Viola.

Get the look:

1. Dab a moisturising layer of our hydrating matte red lipstick to the lips, this will add a beautiful tint of colour and prime and condition the lips to keep them protected and feeling soft throughout the day. Then seal the lippy look with the long lasting red liquid lipstick end to intensify the pigment and lock the product in place (resulting in little to no transfer).
2. Add a rouge flush to the cheeks by applying the hydrating matte lipstick end to a blush brush and dabbing the product to the cheeks until happy with the cheek tint. I like to add a tiny bit to the tip of my nose for an extra rosy youthful look.
3. Finally, for a little spicy touch, create a pretty red wing liner with our liquid lipstick end, by applying to a thin brush and gliding the product across the edge of the eyelid. If you are more of a shadow gal, dot the liquid lipstick to the centre of the lids and blend out to your ideal shadow finish.

LOOK 2- GALINTINE GAL

For those who prefer to bench the boo and embrace their besties on this holiday, we have a pinky perfect look in mind! To set the scene you’re probably getting the gals together popping the prosecco, assembling the charcuterie board and rehashing stories of boyfriends, girlfriends and tinder dates of past.

You’ll want to be comfy but also cute in case of any squad selfies... thirst traps.  

Apply your favourite 2-IN-1 pink shade to the lips cheeks and eyes, choose between our shades Ishtar, Lolita or Sharmeen. 

Get the look:

1. Create a pretty pink inverse ombre’ lip, line your lips with a lighter pink shade, we recommend using the long lasting liquid lipstick end as the applicator is precise and thin. Once the lips are lined dab a deeper pink shade to the centre of the lips, use the hydrating matte lipstick to add moisture and protection to the lips.
2. Add a pinky flush to the cheeks by applying the hydrating matte lipstick end to a blush brush and dabbing the product to the cheeks until happy with the cheek tint.
3. Soften up the eyes with a feathered pink wing liner, apply the hydrating matte lipstick to a thin liner brush and glide the product across the eyelids. Then with a fluffy eyeshadow brush lightly blend out the line to create a feathered soft effect.

LOOK 3 - OH SO SWEETIE

All right this is when the Gen Z in me (yep I’m just gonna pretend I’m not ALMOST 30) kicks in. I’m talking graphic liner Tik Tok and Pinterest inspired makeup trends. I’m talking heart graphics on the eyelids, rose shaped freckles, perhaps even a little rhinestone cut crease action.

For hyper-pigmented graphics and graphic liner, we recommend using our liquid lipstick end of our 2-IN-1 products.

Get the look:

1. For this look we are going to keep it simple with hearts under the eyes and a simple wing liner. Draw on the hearts by applying the long lasting liquid lipstick formula to a thin lip lining brush and drawing under the eyes. With the wing liner use the same brush, apply some more of the liquid lipstick product and glide on the edge of the eyelids and fan out.
2. Add a flush to the cheeks by applying the hydrating matte lipstick end to a blush brush and dabbing the product to the cheeks until happy with the cheek tint.
3. Get the look:

1. Line your lips with a deeper shade, we recommend our deep brown shade Anyana.
